Man, I have a 3560 and I think the tray is not smooth due to lower belt. It is harsh when closing. Is the lower copper part removable to change the lower belt or transport should be removed completely?

Denon PMA-s1 vs your Coda 2.5? Which is better? That coda sounds wonderful, but the Denon almost sounds better if my ears are to be believed.

I bought this brand new in 1987. I got it out last night because I discovered it has a much sought after DAC chip, the PHILIPS TDA1541-BASED CD PLAYERS AND D/A CONVERTERS. I played some jazz and it sounded great on my hybrid tube preamp - integrated amplifier and my Wharfdale Linton's. This is a great CD player.

Great DVD-Audio player. But, have you heard of Technics DVD-A1, a 1999 DVD Audio player concept with maybe only one built? Supposedly to be sold with Built-to-order 3000 series preamp and amp? Was announced in a German catalogue but never have I ever seen it, even until this day. It was heavily modified SL-P2000 basically, nice TNRC chassis, champagne finish, new wooden side cheeks, copper enclosure, R-core transformers, 20+kg,....Panasonic had similar ( internally only ) model in Japan, DVD-H2000.

I do have the Panasonic DVD-H1000 that I purchased on eBay while back but the seller didn’t packed 📦 the H1000 careful (terrible packaging) knowing the unit is heavy about 37 pounds so it got a bit damaged during shipping 🤦🏻♂️😢 but other then that it plays really nice. I certainly heard the difference. I have a healthy amount of skepticism for some of the audio tweakery, but when it comes to power cords, it's not the power going into the component power supply, but the EMI & other negative effects power has on sensitive audio signals. If the power cord lacks high quality insulation & shielding material that prevents EMI escaping and contaminating nearby interconnect cables carrying a very sensitive signal, then that power cord could degrade and contaminate the audio signal.

Still rocking my CDB650 from 1986. My uncle had one and I liked it so much I had to get one. All these years later and I never wanted to replace it. Now it's vintage , haha.

I have this model with timber side panels The only issue i have not used it for years in immaculate condition but it plays the first 4 or 5 tracks and either stops or the draw opens i can't remember..i was told to lubricate the track runners....Can you still purchase the laser for this spectacular unit anyware .. like the sony ES top cd players of the day it is nearly impossible to get replacements sadly and the other issue is finding someone to repair and not damage 🙏
👋🏼the Denon DCD-3520 is a wonderful cd player 💿 built quality and sound quality. ⚠️Before you work on electronics make sure NO POWER ON and disconnected 🔌 the unit from the outlet ⚡️⚠️safety first at your own risk. I learned that most DCD3500’s is belts replacement top and bottom also sometimes you don’t need to replace the optical pick up it could be the len is dirty a bit of alcohol with a Q-tip will do the trick and be very gentle when cleaning the len and If doesn’t do the trick then the DCD-3520 need some adjustment like tracking and focus gain etc….You can still buy KSS-151A optical pick up on eBay.
